Staff Spotlight - Mark Kilbride

Mark Kilbride - École Sir John Franklin High School

Mark Kilbride is a treasure. He started his teaching career at École Sir John Franklin High School in the fall of 2006, and in the 12 years since, he has established himself as one of the more outgoing and versatile members of the staff. Mr. Kilbride has taught every Phys Ed course in the school and is currently the Phys Ed department head. He helps coach both the girls and boys hockey teams and is also a fixture in the indoor soccer program. In past he has also coached cross-country running and track and field. In recent years, Mark has also become a regular in the math department. Although focusing mostly on Grade 10 Math this year, he has taught most classes from Grades 9-11. Mr. Kilbride is known best for his intensity and his enthusiasm. He continually pursues professional development opportunities and is eager to share his learning with his students and his athletes. Mark is also very busy with his young family, and SJF is fortunate that he still manages to find so much time and energy to give to his school. Congratulations, Mark.
