YK1 grad named "Shining Student" at University of Lethbridge

The goal of any high school is to prepare youth for life after the classroom, whether that be post-secondary education or the workforce. At the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, former YK1 student Aimee Yurris was recently recognized as one of the school’s “Shining Students”. The poster Aimee is holding in the photo (left) will be displayed in the Health Sciences Faculty at the University. Aimee, a graduate of École Sir John Franklin High School, was also featured on the cover of the school’s 2017 Report To Donors publication. At YK1, we like to celebrate the successes of our former students once they leave our classrooms. Way to go Aimee, and keep it up!
