New this Week...

JK/K New Student Information Night - 6:45 PM Thursday February 1st, 2024

We are hosting an information night for parents of students who are eligible to enter Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten for the 2024/2025 school year. In order to enter Junior Kindergarten, a child must turn 4 on or before December 31, 2024. Children entering Kindergarten must turn 5 on or before the same date. Parents of students at other grade levels are welcome to attend as well. This is an excellent opportunity to see the school, meet some of the staff, and visit some classrooms.

Our doors open at 6:30 and we begin with an information session in the gym starting at 6:45. This will be followed by a visit to the school and to some of the JK/K classrooms. We are looking forward to seeing new and returning families and start the process of welcoming new children into the school for next year.

Please note that if your child is already attending École Įtł’ǫ̀ and you intend for them to return to us next year, there is no need to reregister. Returning students are automatically enrolled for the next school year.

We will have registration forms on hand that evening. For those who would like to get started earlier, you can download a .pdf copy here.

See you on Thursday!

Rainbow Family Fun Night

On Friday January 19th, our school's Rainbow Club organized a Family Fun Night. The students did much of the work, supported by Mme. Ashley. The evening was a big success with many students and families spending some time enjoying themselves. In addition to the activities in the gym, the Rainbow Club hosted a very successful bake sale. The club managed to raise $818.65 through their sales by donaion. All funds will support the club and its activities. Thank you to Mme Ashley and the Rainbow Club students for organizing a fun evening for everyone! Thanks also to all the families who contributed to the bake sale or came out to spend a little time with us during the Fun Night.

West Coast Seeds Sale Fundraiser

Our West Coast Seeds fundraiser application has been approved! The fundraiser sale will be from 3 Jan 2024 - 3 Feb 2024 with 40% of all sales going to our school’s PAC! This year there will be a larger selection of seeds to choose from. Please use the link below to order.

Website: https://fundraising.westcoastseeds.com/collections/all

All orders will be shipped in bulk at the end of the sale for organization. Once that has taken place, we post additional information to our website on the distribution of your individual orders. This is a great way to get ready for the new gardening season while also supporting our school!

Breakfast Program - Volunteers Needed!

The Ecole Itlo Breakfast Program is looking for volunteers! Breakfast is offered every morning to all students in the school kitchen. Parent volunteers are needed every morning from 7:45-8:45 am to set up, serve, and clean up after breakfast. It is a lovely way to get to know the school community.

All volunteers must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. If your most recent check is over a year old, you will need to renew it. If this is the case, please contact the front office and Mme Laura can draft a letter for you to take to the RCMP to get the check completed.

If you are able to help out, please indicate your availability on this sign up sheet, which also has a link with more information about how the program runs. You can email the Parent Advisory Council (itlopac@gmail.com) with any questions. As well, please consider joining our Facebook group (Ecole Itlo PAC) to stay updated about upcoming school and PAC events.
