New This Week...
Subway - Thursday, February 22nd
Our next Subway Day is scheduled for Thursday, February 22nd. If you haven't done so already, there is still time to order a sandwich for your child. Orders can be placed by clicking on this link. The deadline for placing an order is 6:00 PM on Monday, February 19th. Thanks very much to Nawsheen and our PAC for organizing this!
PAC Meeting - Wednesday, February 21st
It has been a few months since we have had a meeting of our PAC. Therefore, the PAC will meet on Wednesday of this week at 7:00 PM in the school's staff room. Since we are still looking for a PAC chair, Mr. Arts will manage the meeting until a new chair is chosen by the PAC. There are a number of items on the agenda, including:
- Call for PAC Chair and Vacant Executive Seats
- Review of the PAC's spending procedures (hint, hint, we need a PAC Chair to spend hard-earned money from PAC fundraising efforts)
- Updates on the school's programs, progress, and enrolment
All parents having a child attending the school are automatically PAC members. Coming to a meeting is an easy way to get involved in, be informed about your child's school, and get to know some of your fellow parents and family members. We hope to see you on Wednesday evening. If you cannot make it in person, please use the link below to connect connect live online.

Band Performance - Thursday, February 22nd
This Thursday, we are pleased to host members of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles's regimental band. The performance is open to all students and we are looking forward to hearing popular and traditional music. The performance starts at 2:15 pm and is scheduled for 30 to 40 minutes.
Mark your Calendar - Parent Conferences - March 4th and 5th
The students' second-term report cards are coming home on Monday March 3rd. That means that it's conference time. This time, teachers have the option of organizing parent-teacher meetings, or they can implement student-led conferences. Your child's teacher will let you know which format they are planning to use. In either case, it is important to sign up for a conference time. Just as in the past, we will do this using an online portal. It will open on Monday, February 26th at 6:00 PM. We will put a reminder into next week's website posting along with the link you will need to make your booking.

Breakfast Program - Volunteers Always Needed!
The Ecole Itlo Breakfast Program is looking for volunteers! Breakfast is offered every morning to all students in the school kitchen. Parent volunteers are needed every morning from 7:45-8:45 am to set up, serve, and clean up after breakfast. It is a lovely way to get to know the school community.
All volunteers must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. If your most recent check is over a year old, you will need to renew it. If this is the case, please contact the front office and Mme Laura can draft a letter for you to take to the RCMP to get the check completed.
If you are able to help out, please indicate your availability on this sign up sheet, which also has a link with more information about how the program runs. You can email the Parent Advisory Council (itlopac@gmail.com) with any questions. As well, please consider joining our Facebook group (Ecole Itlo PAC) to stay updated about upcoming school and PAC events.
