November is National Indigenous Heritage Month and last Firday, École Itlo celebrated Rock Your Mocs in a school wide drum dance. Staff and Students were invited to wear their moccasins.

Breakfast Club
We continue to offer a breakfast program to all Itlo studdents. Serving whole wheat toasts, bagels, cereals, milk, cheese, yogurts, oatmeal and fruits. We are looking for Breakfast Program volunteer from 7:50 - 8:40 each morning. If you have a few minutes to spare in the mornings, please sign up here.
ILE Classes
Students will have the chance to experience the process of scraping and stretching a caribou hide this week. All students will cycle through their ILE classes in the wall tent with Mrs. Desjarlais.
Thursday, November 21st - PAC
Monthly PAC meeting at 6:30 PM in the kitchen. We now have a new PAC chair: Jessica Bourassa and co-chair: Jessica Cortez. This is also new to me, so we are all adjusting. If you have any questions for the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) please email at itlopac@gmail.com.
Friday, November 22nd - Guest Author
Miss Cathy Modest-Short has published a children's book; Dechitah Naidi, Medecin from the land. She will be visiting École Itlo int he morning and students will have the chance to see Miss Cathy.
Parent or student-led conferences
Report cards will go home on Monday, November 25th and the conferences are held on November 26th and 27th (4 PM - 7:30 PM). Some teachers are offering student-led conferences and others, individual meetings with the teacher. Here is the link to the conferences: https://itlo.
Scholastics Book Fair
École Itlo will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair again this year on Monday, November 25th, 26th and 27th.
