Last week, the grades 3-4-5 had the chance to an introductory fiddle lesson with Yellowknife's very own Andrea Bettger. The students learned the parts of the fiddle and how to hold it. The Student Council also presented the SPCA with a 2000$ check from the donations at our Halloween Dance!
Fiddle Workshop
Last week, the Junior Kindergarten to grade two students had the chance to visit the Fieldhouse for some time to move their bodies and play. This was well recieved esecially with the arrival of the cooler temperatures.

Here is the information and events happening this last week before the Holiday break.
Breakfast Club
We continue to offer a breakfast program to all Itlo studdents. Serving whole wheat toasts, bagels, cereals, milk, cheese, yogurts, oatmeal and fruits. We are looking for Breakfast Program volunteers from 7:50 - 8:40 each morning. If you have a few minutes to spare in the mornings, please sign up here.
*** A reminder that JK students are welcomed to attend breakfast club however must be accompanied by a parent or adult.***
A gentle reminder that Breakfast begins at 8:05 for students. They must wait outside until a staff member is on site at 8:05. Once students are finished eating, they are to wait outdoors until the 8:20 bell.
École Itlo Winter Concert
The students from Grades 3-4-5 will perform at this year's 2025 Itlo winter concert. Concert begins at 6:30 PM and the doors will open at 6:00 PM. Students are asked to arrive at 6:10 PM and go directly to their classrooms. Parents are asked to pick up their child in the classrooms.
Clubs at École Itlo
With the arrival of colder temperatures comes the clubs. The student council have put together various activities for the next couple of months.

Holiday Food Drive
We are collecting non-perishable foods until December 16th!
Ultimate Frisbee
The Yellowknife Ultimate Frisbee Community in Yellowknife has been working hard to create some programming for the youth of this town. They want to have a tournament on December 29th, 2025 for two age groups.
Fieldhouse - Dec 15th
All junior kindergarten to grade 2 classes will go to the Yellowknife Fieldhouse for their second play session.
Fiddle Workshop - Dec 18th
The final introductory fiddle workshop with Andrea Bettger. This workshop is for students from grades 3 to 5.
Pancake Breakfast - Friday, December 19th
In celebrations of the end of the year, there will be a pancake breakfast for all students on Friday, December 19th. We are asking students to bring their own plates and cutlery. Pancakes will be served at 8:45 AM.
