Last week, we celebrated Mr. Ros` retirement. He took great care of our school whether he was sweeping, shoveling or fixing little things. Ros was our head custodian and will most definetly be missed by all staff and students.

Breakfast Club
We continue to offer a breakfast program to all Itlo studdents. Serving whole wheat toasts, bagels, cereals, milk, cheese, yogurts, oatmeal and fruits. We are looking for Breakfast Program volunteers from 7:50 - 8:40 each morning. If you have a few minutes to spare in the mornings, please sign up here.
*** A reminder that JK students are welcomed to attend breakfast club however must be accompanied by a parent or adult.***
A gentle reminder that Breakfast begins at 8:05 for students. They must wait outside until a staff member is on site at 8:05. Once students are finished eating, they are to wait outdoors until the 8:20 bell.
Student drop-off
Welcome to another year at École Itlo. Here is some information regarding student drop offs in the mornings.
Juniorkindergarten students are to be accompanied to their classrooms by an adult. The doors open as early as 8AM.
Kindergarten to Grade 5 students are to wait outside on the terrace or the JK playground and monkey bars section until 8:20AM. Please note that supervision begins at 8:05AM.
Kindergarten students are to wait outside until the 8:20 bell.
New Recess and bell times
The recess and lunch schedules have slighly changed this year. The lunch recess will be first then followed by teh lunch eating period. This year, teachers are beginning and ending their days using restorative practices; connecting in with students and checking n on how the day went.

Eating period: 11:55AM - 12:10 PM

New Fence
As you may have noticed, our maintenance crew has worked hard throughout the summer to make improvements to our playground and create a safer space for your children to learn and play. Student safety is always our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring that our school environment is safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all students. We appreciate the hard work of our maintenance team and your continued support as we work together to keep our students safe.
Friday, September 18th - Terry Fox Walk at Itlo
Although the Terry Fox run is on Sunday, September 20th, our school will be doing a school walk on Friday, September 18th from 2-3PM.
We will be walking around the school: Turning left on 51A or Forest Drive. Keep walking on the sidewalks on Forest Drive, Burwash Drive, 56th Street and again on 51A. Here is a map for visual reference.
