Basketball NWT, alongside Living Skies and One Sky, is proud to bring the first-ever USPORTS women’s basketball tournament to Yellowknife from October 7–12, 2026. Six university programs from across Canada will travel North for five days of high-level competition, athlete development, cultural engagement, and community programming.

The event will also showcase four Yellowknife athletes (many of them YK1 graduates!) competing at home with their respective university teams for the first time in their post-secondary careers, creating a unique and inspiring opportunity for local youth and basketball fans across the territory.
