Board Policies

Policies support the important governance function of YK1's Board of Trustees. The following policies define the role of the Board, the role of the Superintendent, and the delegation of authority from the Board to the Superintendent.

Policies also include:

  1. Foundational statements which provide guidance and direction for all activities within the District;
  2. Directions for how the Board, its committees and representatives function and how individual Trustees are to conduct themselves;
  3. Statements as to how meetings, appeals and hearings will be conducted; and
  4. Specific matters that the Board has chosen not to delegate to the Superintendent.
