Transportation
First Transit provides busing services for YK1 schools. École Sir John Franklin High School students can either purchase passes for City buses from the City of Yellowknife, or purchase a full-year pass for City buses from First Transit ($275). First Transit is located at 107 Kam Lake Road in Yellowknife, and can be reached at (867) 873-4693.
2022-2023 Busing Information
Important busing documents are attached below. Please note that one busing application must be filled out per student. An additional consent form must be filled out for kindergarten and Grade 1 students. Third party billing forms must be filled out by organizations paying fees. Families will also need to submit photos of their children (preferably passport-style headshots). For more information, please call (867) 873-4693 or email yellowknife@firstgroup.com.
Due to high demand at the start of the school year, please allow for a turnaround time of 10 to 14 days for applications to be processed.
