YK1 Superintendent Metro Huculak provides an update on the continuation of learning. Parents can expect to hear from their child's teacher soon if they haven't already. Please stay safe and refer to the following webpage for the latest information from YK1.
"Hello everyone. First off I want to say that I hope you and your family are safe. We are facing an unprecedented situation but I know we can get through it together. At YK1 we're working on new ways to support our students during this pandemic. We ask for your patience at this time. Learning at home will look different than in the classroom, but with direction from the Department of Education, our schools are working on a plan for continued learning - and will have that plan in place by April 14. By the end of the week, you should be contacted by your child's teacher. Please reach out to us if you don't hear anything. We also invite you to check out our website next week for ideas about supporting and engaging your children while they learn from home. We will always be there to help. Above all, please continue to follow the advice of the chief public health officer. If you have any questions or concerns about the continuation of learning, reach out to us. Thank you and stay safe."
