It was great to see families visit the school on Tuesday and Wednesday for parent-teacher conferences. Now that report cards have gone home for the first semester, students and staff are gearing up for activities and celebrations taking place before the start of the Winter Break on December 20th. Please keep checking back with us as we add details in the run-up to the holidays.

Please remember that there is no school tomorrow, November 25th.

We have noticed a few extra vehicles in the staff parking area before, but especially at the end of the school day. If you are picking up or dropping off a child, please use the designated areas (next to the main vehicle entry for families and buses). There is no supervision in the staff parking area and we would like to make sure that all of our students, families and staff are safe at all times. Thanks for your help with this.

We have included some additional posters/announcements at the bottom of this posting. Please be sure to check out the information for the Winter Concert (for JK to Grade 2 students and families... Grades 3 to 5 will have a performance opportunity in the Spring). Also, please take note of our Super Heroes club organized by our school counsellor, Mme Emily.

Here is what else is in the school news for this week...

• Minecraft and Pokémon clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday are cancelled for this week. Mr. Arts is away at meetings for those two days. Chess club will go ahead as usual on Thursday at lunch.
• On Thursday morning, we will have a school-wide assembly. This month, our Kindergarten students will be presenting!
• There will be a fire drill on Friday just before the morning recess. Depending on the weather conditions, students will either practice an evacuation to the school playground, or into the gym (if the conditions warrant it).
