Staff Spotlight: Ben Cornel

Ben Cornel - K'alemi Dene School

Ben Cornel joined the K'alemi Dene School team in May 2021 and we couldn’t be more thrilled. As an education assistant, Ben has a lovely, calm manner with students that helps them to co-regulate and be successful in the classroom. Ben is enthusiastic about working with children and it shows in the relationships he has developed with each of the students he works with. Younger students love to show Ben all of their treasures and tell him their stories. Older students love learning how to play guitar with Ben during their breaks. We are sad to see Ben leave us this month, but can’t wait to hear about his amazing adventures. Mahsi cho, Ben!
