Student of the Week: Sophie

YK1 is proud to announce that Sophie is our Student of the Week! Sophie goes above and beyond to contribute to the building of her classroom and school communities. In the classroom, she is quick to volunteer to organize an area, work with a friend, or complete helpful tasks. When we do buddy reading weekly with a Grade 1 class, Sophie truly takes it upon herself to support the growth of her little buddy’s reading development and general love of literature. She participates in school sports, like volleyball and badminton, and is always a committed and supportive member of her team, displaying true sportsmanship. In the larger school community, she takes care of the school chickens weekly, and is willing to provide support and friendship to everyone and anyone. Congratulations, Sophie!
